Ibushi and Generico, having an affair while Kenny is right here? (lol). [Ibushi] lost today [against Devitt], but I’m glad he’s motivated for the next time. It seems it was hard to deal with his injured knee, but it’s not worsening, and that’s the most important thing for now.

Dome!

(images: Matsui Yukinori)

Today I went to the Tokyo Dome after meeting up with the Great President in the office.
I went to New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom.
I was very interested in what went on behind the scenes at Japan’s largest event, but…
It started with me not knowing where to go after I managed to enter via the staff only entrance.
I was confused by the many locker rooms, and the media room was of course spacious, the commentary room was big, two people were always in the catering room cooking food, and an unusually large number of staff ran around in a hurry inside and outside the venue.

Man, it was a bit overwhelming. This is what you call a big match [atmosphere].
If you step outside the arena, it’s such [a] big [building]!
Obviously, [there are] the costly screens, and the entrance ramp for the stage performances and such, on which you can take your time coming down from a high place.
Until now, I wasn’t really too attached to this place called [Tokyo] Dome, but seeing that makes you catch your breath in awe.
I want to be here at least once before I die.
As a referee, yes, but also behind the scenes.

I think both Ibushi and Kenny made quite an impact with their matches.
Kenny appeared in a dark [tag] match, and spent most [of the match] being in action and constantly moving around.
It felt like there was an excessive amount of pressure on Ibushi for his match, but I think he didn’t disappoint.

[…]

It’s unfortunate he couldn’t become two-time champion, but I think he gave us a wonderful match.
I was afraid Ibushi would say something like, “I’m completely satisfied”, but instead, he said, “I’m not satisfied”, and that gave me peace of mind for now.

The Dome show was strong in a lot of ways.
I feel like [the show] fully displayed why [this] major promotion is a major promotion.
In the future, I want to devote myself to catching up with the top and surpassing it.

The picture shows the two after their matches.
Well then, tomorrow I return to my regular duties!

New Year’s Wrestling!

(image: Matsui Yukinori)

Today, after shuffling around in the office, I went to the Prince [Hotel] in Shinagawa.

We were invited to the New Year’s party by our partner, the Miyaji Ironworks, and we provided two matches [for them].
They were matches in a ring, but I think it was satisfying for all those different people present, from those watching for the first time, to the wrestling fans.

The only thing that worried me was the child who took refuge under that table and cried when Ibushi did a quebrada.

After the match, everyone was treated to a solid meal at a buffet.
It was good!
And then I returned for a while to the office, and now I’m going home.

The pictures are two scenes from the closing party.
Tomorrow, I plan on locking myself in the office.

The Boss!

[…]

After the greatly successful show [in Ôsaka] Move On [Arena], I went to a dinner party.
I, together with Ibushi, Kenny and Michael, was treated to seafood by the person who takes care of us.
It was so good!
Thank you!

DDT in Kanayama, Nagoya!

(image: Matsui Yukinori)

Today was the DDT [show] at Kanayama Asunal Hall, starting from 1 pm.
Even though it was small, it was a really good venue, with a tidy locker room and proper sound equipment.
Thanks to this, we were able to get a turn-out that included standing seats, and we sold out.
It’s DDT’s second sell-out coming into 2011!
That makes me so happy.
Thank you to everyone who came!

[…]

The Super Baby[face] Trio of HARASHIMA and Ibushi and No. 6 appeared!
They fought the Shitheart1 guys, who I think had reached a new level of heat, and got a complete victory over them.
Also, Michael was incredible in every sense of the word.

[…]

The main event was Danshoku vs Kenny!
Kenny won their exceptionally intense battle by cleverly countering Danshoku’s Gaydô Clutch with his own Gaydô Clutch!
Kenny shone dazzlingly bright in his rainbow thong.

[…]

The picture shows Kenny in his rainbow underwear, with a ghost in the back watching over him2.

Contract Renewals, Day Three!

(image: Matsui Yukinori)

Today, [we] were supposed to have two meetings, but it changed to one.
[And even] in that one, we didn’t make much of a progress.
Well, sometimes that’s how the day goes!
As for the contract renewals, today was day three.
[Hoshi]tango, Takao, HARASHIMA and Ibushi attended, and all of them appear to have signed right away.
I’m glad!
And like that, I’m going home now.
